In-office testing in Wasilla, AK

Saving Time with
In-Office Testing

Have you ever had to leave your doctor’s office and drive to the lab and wait for testing? Let us cut some of that extra time out of the process. We provide basic labs in-house while you’re here. You’ll save the time you’d have spent going and waiting at the lab, and we won’t have to wait for the lab to return your results.

Cardiovascular Stress Test in Wasilla, AK

Cardiovascular
Stress Test

Need a cardiovascular stress test? We’ve got the treadmill and equipment all ready to go. We’ll place the ECG electrodes that pick up the electrical impulses from your heart. These impulses are sent to the ECG machine, where the impulses are translated into a mechanical motion that shows the various rhythms of your heartbeat. After checking your ECG at rest, we will ask you to walk or jog on the treadmill until your target heart rate is achieved. A new set of readings is taken after this “stress,” to assess your heart for any changes in rhythm.

At-Home
Sleep Study

It’s no longer definitively necessary to have a sleep study conducted in an overnight stay at a sleep lab. If you require a sleep study, we will provide you with the instructions and equipment to perform the test at home, in your own bed. The at-home test is effective in diagnosing obstructive sleep apnea at a lower cost than the sleep lab.

24-Hour Heart or Blood Pressure Monitor

In some cases, it may be necessary to measure the activity of your heart over a 24-hour period. We will provide a Holter monitor, a portable device with electrodes that adhere to your skin, for you to wear during that period. When you return to our office the next day, we will remove the electrodes and evaluate the results.

Similarly, we have a device capable of measuring your blood pressure over a 24-hour period. The device usually measures your BP 20-30 times during the day and hourly during the night. The monitor consists of a cuff worn around your upper arm and a measuring device worn around your neck. The results show us the type of hypertension you have so that we can treat it appropriately.
